In February I set off for a long awaited adventure to document the Kumbh Mela, the most famous Hindu pilgrimage in India, and also the largest confluence of humanity in the world. I flew in to Delhi, and after arriving in the afternoon I went straight to Old Delhi to visit the Charity Bird Hospital, where I had visited before. The next day I flew to Allahabad to begin my journey to the Kumbh Mela, which defied expectations on a number of levels. After the Mela ended I took a road trip back to Delhi, visiting Lucknow and Agra, ending my trip as a guest at an Indian wedding outside of Delhi the night before returning to New York. Enjoy the journey with me.
