Italy
ITALY - One winter holiday I traveled with my family to visit friends in Rome and they suggested that we take a day trip to go to Campo Felice, a ski resort nestled in the heart of the Appennines mountain range in the province of Abruzzo, about two hours east of the city. Unlike other ski resort centers I had been to in the US and Canada, Campo Feliche consisted of a series of makeshift cabins filled with rental equipment, people, food and wine. This photograph reminds me of a still from an epic Fellini film set in 1960s Italy. A story about three families and two generations, with illicit affairs, intrigue and again lot’s of food and wine. Not to mention bitter cold!
